New York Gov. Hopeful Andrew Giuliani said he will be the last guy in a long time to “look under the hood of his baby daughter” and “she will remain a woman” at a campaign rally in Long Island.
The son of embattled Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani made the comments, which were branded on social media as distasteful and transphobic, at an event over the weekend organized by far-right group Long Island Loud Majority (LILM).
‘So I changed diapers. I looked under the hood. She is a woman. I’ll be the last one to look under the hood right there in a long time.
‘But guess what? She was born a woman and will remain a woman, it’s as simple as that,” he said outside Bellmore LIRR station.
Giuliani added that his four-month-old daughter shouldn’t be allowed to date “until she’s 25.”
The 36-year-old, who served as Trump’s special assistant, was in Long Island to re-run for the state’s highest office, with school board groups attending the event.
His comments come at a time of extreme political unrest in the US over polarizing comments and policies on transgender issues in schools.

Giuliani and his Lithuanian CEO, Civilė Rezgytė, welcomed their daughter, Grace Jusefa Giuliani, in November after the couple married in 2017.
“Grace Juzefa Giuliani gave Civile and I the greatest joy imaginable when she joined us yesterday,” the new dad tweeted in November.
“Happy birthday to our little angel and thank you to all family and friends who prayed for us and welcomed our beautiful baby Grace into the world!”
Over the weekend, Giuliani said of his daughter: “[She] made me a promise on day one, right? My wife was sleeping and I’m holding her [my daughter] in my arms.
“And I get emotional just thinking about it, but she made me a promise. She shook my hand and I said, “I’m the only friend until you’re 25, shake my hand.”
The rally was organized by the far-right group LILM, which hosts school board meetings and admitted to bringing 300 of its members to the US Capitol on Jan. 6.
None of the members entered the building or were on the Capitol grounds at the time of the riot.

Giuliani’s father Rudy served as mayor of New York City from 1994 to 2001 and joined former President Donald Trump’s personal legal team in 2018 and helped argue allegations of voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election
Giuliani first announced his candidacy for the Republican primary in May 2021, but received zero votes in a straw poll in June. Undeterred by the lack of support, the younger Giuliani continued to rally across the state.
He must either get 25 of the weighted votes at this year’s GOP nominating convention or get thousands of petition signatures to get to the vote before June.

The younger Giuliani’s bizarre comments over the weekend aren’t the first controversy the younger Giuliani has faced.
In June 2021, he got into a chilling row with a TikTok personality known as “Crackhead Barney” over his stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Rudy Giuliani, who faces a multitude of charges over alleged attempts to help Trump overthrow the election, said his son was a natural governor because “he was born knowing how to fight crime.”
“I’m running for governor. I stand for Israel today,” Giuliani said.
“Will you be like your daddy?” asked the TikTok star.
“I want to see a New York where Israel is respected,” Giuliani said.
‘I hate your father, I fucking hate him!’ countered crackhead Barney.
“That’s fine,” Giuliani replied, while those around him seemed to take offense.
Giuliani’s entourage then yelled “F*** you!” at TikToker while the contestant was able to remain calm the whole time.
“Want to know the beauty of the United States of America?” Giuliani asked. “You can say that. Unfortunately, this is not possible in Palestine. You would be beheaded.”
The younger Giuliani said in early 2021 he was confident he would run as a GOP nominee against now-disgraced former Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Instead, Trump’s ally Lee Zeldin led with 85 percent of the vote in a straw poll in June, while 2014 candidate Rob Astorino got 5 percent, according to the Democrat & Chronicle.
While the straw poll doesn’t exclude Giuliani from consideration, it does give him a steep climb to force a primary with Zeldin.
Junior Giuliani served as Trump’s White House adviser for four years and came out in the open after the FBI raided his father’s New York City apartment to seize laptops and cellphones related to an investigation against him.
Giuliani’s campaign website explains his time in the White House: “In 2017, he joined the Trump administration as deputy director of the Office of Public Liaison.
“In 2019 he was promoted to Special Assistant to the President. His role was to work with senior business leaders and CEOs to help President Trump and his cabinet secretaries shape policy, particularly on the 2017 tax cuts, deregulation of companies of all sizes, and he was proud of his work in the opioid industry -Task Force .’

“In his senior year in the White House,” his bio continues, “Andrew was directly involved in several initiatives that saved millions of American jobs amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“He worked with the Treasury Department and business leaders to create the Paycheck Protection Program and worked to review and shape President Trump’s Great American Reopening Committee.”
The nominee said the gubernatorial race will be another “fight of the century” and is confident he can knock out veteran GOP competition in Rep. Lee Zeldin and the current three-term incumbent Democratic Gov. Cuomo.
No Republican has won a statewide election in New York since the mid-1990s, when George Pataki denied the current governor’s father, Mario Cuomo, a fourth term as New York governor. Pataki served three terms until 2006.
