The information that she is away to take care of her health was confirmed by TV Globo. In a note, the broadcaster said she is “fine” and recovering at home, but isn’t scheduled to return to television until next year.
“Gloria Maria is away from Globo Repórter and is continuing a new phase of her treatment that was scheduled a few months ago. She is fine, at home and is not expected to return until next year,” the note said.
In 2019, Gloria discovered a brain tumor and had to undergo risky surgery.
“I was alive, diagnosed with a brain tumor, a lot of people thought it was cancer, but no, it was a horrible tumor that would have killed me in 15 days if I hadn’t discovered it at that moment,” she said on March 14th on Roda Viva on TV Cultura.
