The German comedian has been making people laugh for years. Now, a post from him sends chills.
This message leaves no one indifferent! Kaya Yanar is known for his good humor and quirky jokes. But a recent Facebook post is anything but funny. The comedian openly shares a stroke of fate with his fans over the catastrophic earthquake in Turkey: “Unfortunately, we had a total of 8 deaths in the extended family, including 3 teenagers.”
He further reports that most of them have already left the city. Some would still care for the dead on the spot. The mother herself organized accommodation for 16 people: “There they sleep like sardines on the floor. Mostly they stare into space or cry uncontrollably. Children continue to cry at night and have nightmares.”
“Maybe I would have screamed for help under the rubble”
An uncle reported bodies crushed in the street and shouted from the rubble: “The absolute horror”.
Then Kaya writes lines that give even more goosebumps: “I’m grateful to my parents for coming to Germany. Even though they had their problems, I managed to enter society quite easily. What would my life have been like in Antakya? Maybe I would have spent the last few days screaming for help under the rubble of my parents’ hometown.”
The comedian stands in solidarity and is now raising donations for the affected areas with his Twitch streams.
