On Sunday afternoon, police were called to I-105 at Wilmington Avenue for reports of a pedestrian weaving in and out of traffic on the highway.
Footage taken by a witness shows an officer on the ground struggling with the pedestrian.
The officer then shoots the pedestrian at least three times until he stops.
He was taken to hospital but his condition is unknown.
