Here’s the shocking moment a Washington DC firefighter punched, bit and twerked ushers who were telling him to return to his seat at a Nationals baseball game.

Footage showed Christopher Sullivan, 54, a firefighter with DC Fire and EMS, who got into a fight with a group of ushers who confronted him in the stands behind home plate at Nationals Park on Tuesday night.

Sullivan was seen taunting two ushers by butt-pulling them as they apparently tried to remove him from the stands.

When a third usher came to help, Sullivan became enraged and punched the usher before sinking his fangs into his arm as a scuffle ensued.

Sullivan, who is from West Virginia, was charged with assault in the incident and placed on administrative leave after footage of the fight went viral. He was also banned from Nationals Park for five years.

In the footage, the crowd at Nationals Park could be heard jeering and booing Sullivan while shouting “Get out!”

As the third usher approached, he attempted to lead Sullivan down the aisle, wrapping a stiff arm around his back and urging him forward.

The movement seemed to anger Sullivan, who turned and began yelling at the usher, who continued to body-box him down the aisle.

The two walked up the aisle like that for a few moments before Sullivan suddenly punched the usher in the face.

The usher dodged the punch and then tried to put Sullivan in a headlock to restrain him.

Sullivan could then be seen sinking his teeth into the usher’s hands and arms as police arrived at the scene to break up the fight.

In a statement, DC Fire and EMS called Sullivan’s behavior “absolutely unacceptable.”

“The actions observed in the video are absolutely unacceptable,” the department said, according to Fox News. “Our department was informed on September 27, 2022 that an employee of our agency had been arrested by the Metropolitan Police and charged with aggravated assault. Prior to this incident, the individual was on paid administrative leave pending the completion of an internal HR procedure. He will remain on leave while our internal investigation into this matter continues.’

Not only was Sullivan already on leave at the time of the fight, but according to NBC Washington he had been fired from the department several years earlier before being reinstated.

It’s unclear why Sullivan was on leave or why he had previously been fired.

Speaking to WUSA9, Sullivan said the ushers started the altercation and he would have easily left if they hadn’t laid hands on them.

“If he hadn’t interacted with me, I would have been on my way,” Sullivan said. “For the record, the Nationals park attendant reported as a victim is referred to as a guest services attendant (a fancier name for an usher) and I can assure you that his job description does not include putting his hands or body on fans. ‘

Sullivan said he was only in the section near home plate because he was looking for a season ticket friend nearby. He said the ushers approached him after he verbally abused a Braves player.
