This is the shocking moment an LA bus driver stole the wallet of an 86-year-old woman who was lying on the ground after another man punched her unconscious.
The incident happened around 2:40 p.m. on August 8 in the Adams-Normandie neighborhood in the south of the city.
Footage from a metro bus surveillance camera showed several people standing around the victim and doing nothing.
Suddenly a man steals her wallet from the handbag of the unconscious, incapacitated woman.
Several people had tried to intervene, but could not prevent the man from escaping.

Eventually, patrol officers were called to the scene, where the LAPD said the woman was “seriously injured” from the initial attack.
One of the suspects – the man who initially assaulted the woman – was arrested shortly after Southwest Police were dispatched to him.
Firefighters and paramedics eventually responded to care for the victim, who was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
She eventually woke up but had no memory of what happened to her or the attack due to a head injury.
The man who robbed the victim is still at large and fled the scene with her wallet.

The suspect was wearing a New York Yankees jacket, dark beanie, dark pants and gray shoes.
He was believed to be in his 40s or 50s and sported either a mustache or a goatee. The victim and the original suspect who committed the attack have not been identified.
