In a Chron article published on Thursday, we learn that the actor who played Chandler Bing abused several women around him towards the end of his life.

“He violently attacked women. He was over 50 and cheated on his fiancée Molly Hurwitz with young women – including one as young as 19 – whom he met on the exclusive dating app Raya,” writes journalist Maureen Callahan.

Among the witness statements cited is that he “threw a coffee table” at Hurwitz after she suspected him of infidelity in 2021, it is said.

“He was capable of great cruelty while presenting himself as a paragon of virtue,” writes journalist Maureen Callahan.

Another woman, Morgan Moses, stopped working for Perry in 2021 after he pushed her against a wall and threw her “on a bed.” She was at his bedside every night for five months while he recovered from intestinal surgery.

Sources told Us Weekly magazine on Wednesday that Perry “had to pay for therapy for a lot of women” because his misconduct caused them distress.

A nurse who worked with him was so shaken that she quit the profession entirely, these media outlets report. His temper tantrums were constant. He could throw things, knock over tables, hit walls.

According to Perry, in 1998 he was taking 55 Vicodin a day in addition to drinking and smoking.

Matthew Perry, 54, was found unconscious in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home by his assistant on October 28.

His death was caused by “the acute effects” of ketamine use.
