On the big screen at SoFi Stadium, the 29-year-old Japanese proudly presented an NFL club jersey with the number 17, the number he wears in Major League Baseball.

Pass receiver Puka Nacua holds this jersey for the Rams. The latter seemed touched when he saw Ohtani, who gave a big smile when he saw the one who is as good at bat as he is on the mound, revealing the number 17 under his jacket.

Visibly inspired, Nacua was incredible during his team's 30-22 win over the New Orleans Saints. The freshman caught nine catches for 164 yards and a touchdown.

The 22-year-old athlete was drafted with the last pick of the fifth round of the last NFL draft and has picked up 96 balls for 1,327 yards and five majors in 15 games so far in 2023.

For his part, Ohtani joined the Dodgers via the free agent market, signing a record 10-year, $700 million contract. He had played his first six seasons in the Major Leagues in the Angels' city, albeit with the Angels.
