If you thought all questions surrounding Major League Baseball star Shohei Ohtani were now settled after he signed a 10-year, $700 million contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers, think again!
Now that his destination is known, some supporters wanted only one thing: to know the name of the pet he adopted earlier this year.

During his first press conference as a member of the Californian club on Thursday, last season's American League MVP took the tension away and announced that he had named his dog Dekopin.
However, he also gave it an English name, Decoy, meaning “bait,” because he didn't think Americans could pronounce it correctly. This is also the reason why he didn't reveal it before.
This announcement also puts an end to rumors circulating in major baseball circles that the 29-year-old player named the animal in honor of one of his favorite targets.
Ohtani's new contract has caused quite a stir in recent days when it was announced that the new Dodger will only receive $2 million per season for the next 10 years and that he will receive the remaining $680 million between 2034 and 2043, that is after the end of his agreement.
