Shohei Ohtani, now considered Major League Baseball's $700 million man, will be the subject of a Los Angeles Dodgers press conference on Thursday.
The Californian organization will present to journalists its first-class acquisition, with which a 10-year contract was signed a few days earlier. As The Athletic's website reports, the Japanese will also be presented at Dodger Stadium around 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

Ohtani's future has been the focus of sports news in recent weeks. At the end of a process in which the Toronto Blue Jays – according to broadcaster Sportsnet – made a similar offer to the Dodgers, the 29-year-old athlete set his sights on the City of Angels.
The two-time American League MVP winner will focus on his hitting in 2024 as an elbow injury forces him off the mound next season. Last season with the Los Angeles Angels, he hit 44 home runs and drove in 95 runs while maintaining a .304 average. As a pitcher, he won 10 of his 15 decisions.
Additionally, the Japanese player agreed to only receive $2 million per year throughout the term of the contract, meaning he will receive $680 million between 2034 and 2043.
