Four people, including three children under 15, were gunned down at a church near Sacramento, California on Monday afternoon, according to local authorities.
According to the sergeant, the shooter, who is called the father of the children, shot himself. Rod Grassmann, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Representative.
No details about the other victim were immediately forthcoming.
“My understanding is that this is a domestic violence incident at the moment,” Sergeant Grassmann told reporters Monday night.
According to him, it was unclear how many other people were in the church and why they were there, but there was no service at the time. The church is located in a diverse and densely populated suburban area of Sacramento.
“There is a lot of physical evidence to collect,” the sergeant said. You can count on us to stay here for the night.
