This Thursday (12), Gabriela Duarte moved her more than 900,000 followers on Instagram by sharing a text about what she had experienced in recent days. The 49yearold actress arrived in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, on Monday (9) after hastily leaving Israel, where she was staying with her two children when the country came under attack by the Islamic extremist group Hamas.
“Never, not even in my worst nightmares, could I have imagined that I would be in the middle of a war. And certainly not with my children and their father on a trip that was supposed to be a tribute to their roots and their culture,” began Gabriela, who shared a picture with the Israeli flag and the following message: “I support Israel in its fight against terrorism.”
“As you already know, we are safe and well. With a lot of luck and trust, we managed to leave Israel and can now breathe much easier. I never thought I would have to activate survival mode the way we had to.” “We had no answer to our children’s desperation, only the reception of the bomb shelter that was in the basement of the hotel we were in. This is really hard to digest. It’s not easy to explain,” he continued.

“Today, shortly before returning home, I am crying. I either thank or pray for everyone who finds themselves in the middle of this absurd and unacceptable war. I cry for those who have lost their children, their parents, their friends. For the hostages. For the mothers who lost their babies were beheaded. How is that possible? There are no justifications. I’m not here to talk about geopolitics. I’m here to talk about the fear and pain I felt in every cell of my body. Talk about humanity. What do we as human beings want? I pray for the end of terrorism, barbarism, fundamentalism, radicalism, blindness… If we don’t think about it, what’s the point? No more war. No more suffering. We are human, we are people. We are brothers,” he concluded.
