Over the past few weeks, 28-year-old Brandon Jean has been seen numerous times accompanying his brother to ensure his safety.

“You should know that the two Célestins have been the subject of very extensive organized crime investigations in recent years and that they have had a great influence in the Montreal underworld, especially Jean-Philippe Célestin, who is still alive,” explains Félix Séguin in an interview with TVA Nouvelles.
The murder of Brandon Jean Célestin is part of a plan to reorganize organized crime forces in Montreal, according to several sources consulted by TVA Nouvelles.

The Célestin brothers also lost their cousin, who was murdered, in 2014.
“It’s an extremely harsh world,” says Mr. Séguin.
Jean-Philippe Célestin has been seen aboard an armored vehicle in several places in the metropolis in recent days, benefiting from close protection.

“Perhaps this can tell us more or give us the idea that several gangsters from the center of the metropolis are protecting themselves from possible contract killers that we have hired. I don’t know who yet,” concludes the journalist.
Shortly after midnight, the victim was surprised on the way to his Mercedes by one or more people who opened fire several times in his direction.
The crime occurred near the intersection of Bellechasse and Saint-Denis streets.
