Sidney Crosby decides the debate in an offensive festival

Sidney Crosby was the last to score, giving the Pittsburgh Penguins a 6-5 victory over the Boston Bruins on Thursday night at TD Garden.

This game was primarily characterized by the tenacity of the crowd favorites. In fact, the “Oursons” equalized twice and also erased a three-goal deficit.

However, Crosby had the final say with less than nine minutes to play. The Pens captain used a numerical advantage to deny Jeremy Swayman with a powerful wrist shot. It was the famous number 87's third point in this duel, having previously provided assists from Ryan Graves and Jake Guentzel.

Other Penguins scorers included Lars Eller, Drew O'Connor and Jeff Carter. For his part, defender Kris Letang collected three assists.

Brad Marchand scored twice for the Bruins. Morgan Geekie and David Pastrnak each had a goal and two assists. Swayman faced 41 pitches.

A victory in front of the CH

The New York Rangers won 4-1 against the Chicago Blackhawks at Madison Square Garden.

Vincent Trocheck shone with three assists. He was involved in the successes of Artemi Panarin, Chris Kreider and Jacob Trouba. Quebec's Alexis Lafrenière was involved in the first goal on this list.

The Blueshirts' other scorer was Jimmy Vesey, while the Hawks' only success came courtesy of Colin Blackwell's bat.

In front of the cages, Igor Shesterkin faced 24 shots in the win, while Petr Mrazek received 32 pucks in the loss.

The Rangers now travel to Montreal as they have a meeting with the Canadian on Saturday evening at the Bell Centre.

The Jackets come back and win

At the Wells Fargo Center, the Columbus Blue Jackets overcame a two-goal deficit to ultimately defeat the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 in a shootout.

Johnny Gaudreau was the only scorer in the final stages of this game, while goalkeeper Daniil Tarassov frustrated the three skaters in front of him in a shootout. The latter also blocked 39 of 41 shots from his opponents.

He was only thwarted by Travis Konecny, who scored the sixth two-goal game of his season.

The Blue Jackets' regular scorers were Jake Bean and Damon Severson.
