Sidney Crosby ends his career with the Canadian?

At 36, Sidney Crosby is likely spending his final years in the National Hockey League (NHL), but we shouldn't necessarily expect him to finish his career with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

At least that's what Steve Dangle said on December 8th in a segment on the popular podcast “The Steve Dangle Podcast.” The most famous Toronto Maple Leafs fan named two teams where the former Rimouski Océanic could take his final steps in the NHL.

“From all the whispers I’ve heard over the last three or four years, there’s a good chance he is [Sidney Crosby] is finishing his career somewhere other than Pittsburgh, Dangle said. Montreal is a team I've heard of [parler]and join [Nathan] MacKinnon with Colorado [serait une autre option].”

The Penguins, who signed defenseman Erik Karlsson last summer to support Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and Kristopher Letang, have had a below-expected start to the season. If the playoffs began Saturday, the Pennsylvania team would not participate in spring ball because it is five points behind the most recently drafted team, the Carolina Hurricanes, in the Eastern Conference.

As for Crosby, his $8.7 million per season contract expires at the end of the 2024-2025 season. Since the start of the regular season, the 5'11″ tall athlete has scored 17 goals and 14 assists for 31 points in 28 games.
