Sidney Magal receives Fantástico after more than 10 days in hospital
Shortly before his 73rd birthday, Sidney Magal received the Fantástico team for an interview after a tenday stay in hospital. The singer had a “small acute spontaneous hemorrhage in the brain” without consequences after feeling ill from a hypertensive crisis at a show in inland São Paulo in late May.
Magal is looking forward to returning to the stage and will soon be hosting an exhibition to celebrate more than 50 years of his career.
“The fire we have inside would get me back on stage tomorrow. But I have to see that I am 73 years old and have a brilliant career of over 50 years thanks to this wonderful audience. You deserve Magal coming back safe. And I’m practically full. This will now depend on God, on the doctors, full deliverance is already given to me. I know you are by my side yesterday, today and always.”
Giuliana Girardi: Do you have a specific return date?
Sydney Magal: Being an optimist that I am, from the end of July we will have the months of August, September, October, November and December to take the stages with equal joy.
