Rio Silvio Santos presented the 58th edition of the Press Trophy this Wednesday evening. The award took into account the best of 2021 in different categories as well as the Internet Trophy. At the Press Trophy, the three most voted by the audience were presented in alphabetical order to the jury, which decided the best. As far as the Internet Trophy is concerned, the Internet user himself has chosen his favourite.
This year the jury consisted of the journalists Keila Jimenez, Leão Lobo, Fefito, Cristina Padiglione, Valença Sotero, Márcia Piovesan, Flávio Ricco, Sonia Abrão, Tony Góes, Nelson Rubens and Léo Dias.
Silvio Santos also received on stage artists who had been awarded in other years and who have since been unable to come to collect the statuette due to the Covid19 pandemic. The first to accept the trophy was Sophia Valverde, who was voted Best Actress of 2018 for her outstanding role in As Aventuras de Poliana.

Also present at the Press Trophy was Carlos Alberto de Nóbrega. With SBT for 35 years, he came to collect the statuette of the show “A Praça é Nossa”, voted by the jury as the best humorist on television in 2018.
Silvio Santos joked and got a lot of laughs from everyone when he said that Carlos Alberto “has his foot in the grave” and asked who will replace him if he dies. In a good mood, the comedian replied: “Marcelo (son). Only he will be very old. I like living,” he reported in a long conversation with the presenter and journalist Nelson Rubens, who was responsible for handing over the trophies.
Next to receive the press and web trophies, now in the Best Presenter of 2018 category, was Eliana, who appeared prepared for the ceremony, as she confided to the presenter. “I had it made especially for you. This is a meeting of millions. I haven’t seen you for two and a half years. I died of longing.
“I am very happy to be here, for this award, for everything. For achievements as a wife, mother, professional… It’s been 17 uninterrupted years of speaking to the Brazilian family on Sundays and I just have to thank you. I’m so happy,” he added.
Danilo Gentili couldn’t hold back his tears when meeting Silvio. “I’ve never kissed you in the ass before, but I will today. I’m a big fan of yours. I get nervous on your side because you’re not only your fan but also my boss. So I never know if I’ll ask for an autograph or if I’ll get fired,” he joked before continuing. “I would like to thank Silvio Santos for founding SBT and all the people who work at SBT. When I was a kid SBT was very special in my life and today it is still special on another level. That’s where I work and the people I love work with me.”
“We work here as a family. I come to work with people I love, with friends of mine… Today I go out on the street and I see children, adults, old people, couples saying to me: ‘I love your work. difference in my life. I come home tired, turn on the TV and relax.”
