The LeoDias column had access to exclusive documents showing multiple legal battles between singer Simaria and exhusband Vicente Escrig. In part of the lawsuits, it was revealed that the singer had to send a real estate agent to replace the locks on the couple’s apartment in Valencia, Spain. Vicente Escrig’s brother tried to prevent that.
In a report accompanying the trial, the real estate consultant present at the time gave a detailed account of what happened: “I was authorized by Ms. Simaria Mendes Rocha, for the specific purpose, of replacing locks on a property he owns in Valencia, Spain arrange. On 09/09/2021 at 7:00 p.m. I went to the address of the property together with a locksmith to perform the service, which took about an hour and a half to open the front door of the house.”
The woman states in the report that an alarm went off and police officers went to her and the locksmith and forced them to call Simaria, who sent documents proving ownership of the property: “After about thirty minutes, several police officers came to the scene, as who asked me questions about the property and I Ms. Simaria, by phone so that together with me they could answer any questions the police had. Woman. Simaria explained to the police that the property was his property, they requested the relevant documentation of the house, which Mrs. Simaria forwarded to me and at the same time to the police. After the clarifications, the police found that everything was fine and withdrew from the crime scene.
After officers left the scene, a man came and began photographing the aide and the locksmith. When asked, the man only replied that he was the brother of one of the owners of the property. Chama, Simaria tried unsuccessfully to communicate with the man via video call as Escrig’s brother refused to speak: “While I was still waiting for the locksmith to finish the job, I came across a man at the front door who was photographing the property ( …) I explained that I was a real estate agent who had been hired to change the lock on the property and to value the property. The man didn’t answer and said nothing other than that he was the brother of one of the owners. Woman. Simaria tried to video call him but he didn’t answer.”

“I declare that I have been requested by Ms. Simaria Mendes Rocha, for the specific purpose of changing the locks of a property owned by him at Avenida Marqués de Sotelo, 13, Valencia, Spain. On 09/09/2021 at 19:00 I showed up at the property’s address along with a locksmith to perform the service which took about an hour and a half to open the front door.
As we entered the property, I came across a security camera on the floor in front of the door, which Ms. Simaria had already informed me about. At this point I turned the camera to face the wall and turned it off. Then the camera started beeping that it was recording, I figured it would set off an alarm but I figured there wouldn’t be a problem since it was off.
After about 30 minutes several police officers arrived at the scene, at which time they asked me questions about the property and I called Ms. Simaria on the phone so they could work with me to answer any questions the police had. Woman. Simaria explained to the police that the property was his property, they requested the relevant documentation of the house, which Mrs. Simaria forwarded to me and at the same time to the police. After the clarifications, the police found that everything was fine and withdrew from the crime scene.
While I was waiting for the locksmith to finish his job, I found a man at the front door taking photos of the property. The locksmith then informed the man that he would not allow him to photograph him as the rules protecting people’s reputations in Spain are very strict. At this point I asked the man why he was photographing the property and he then replied that he was the brother of one of the owners of the property.
I clarified that I was a real estate consultant hired to change the property’s lock and value the property. The man didn’t answer and said nothing other than that he was the brother of one of the owners. Woman. Simaria tried to video call him but he didn’t answer.
The locksmith then closed the door to finish the service inside and the man still stayed outside chatting to someone suggesting a second person was in place, in addition to speaking to a person on the phone, who apparently Mr. Vicente Simon Escrig. These people stayed at Mrs. Simaria’s door for about ten minutes and then left.”
