The songs of composer Eddy Marnay, forever linked to Celine Dion, will come to life again on stage next autumn.

The new production “Simplement Marnay” by Martin Leclerc brings Luce Dufault, Christian Marc Gendron, Marie Denise Pelletier and Joe Bocan on stage, who will also direct.

Eddy Marnay notably wrote the popular hits Tellement j’ai d’amour pour toi by Céline Dion, Liverpool by Renée Martel and Les amants de Paris by Édith Piaf.

“It’s a wonderful challenge to sing Eddy Marnay’s great songs, especially to bring them back to life. “Coming together to perform this repertoire is pure joy,” Joe Bocan said in a news release Thursday.

“My meeting with Eddy Marnay showed me that I am a sensitive and committed man. Deeply in love with humanity; It is an honor to lend my voice to his words,” added Marie Denise Pelletier.

Under the direction of François Dubé, the premieres of Simplement Marnay are scheduled for September 19th at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal, after which the show closes on October 6th at the Salle Albert-Rousseau in Quebec.
