The musician João Carreiro died on Wednesday evening (3) as a result of a heart operation. Considered one of the most recognizable and influential voices in Mato Grosso do Sul, he was hospitalized in serious condition after undergoing heart valve surgery in Campo Grande (MS).
The information was confirmed by the artist's manager, Ninho, to some of the singer's friends and was also confirmed by our report.
João Sérgio Batista Corrêa Filho, came from Cuiabá and was born on November 24, 1982.
According to the information, before the operation, João Carreiro told a friend that he needed to have a heart valve inserted to eliminate a “noise” there, technically called a prolapse.
Mitral valve prolapse is considered harmless in most cases, but the decision to undergo surgical intervention arises from the need to ensure the patient's health.
