Singersongwriter Tom Mann took to social media Monday (6/20) to announce that his fiancee Danielle Hampson, 34, died last Saturday (6/18), the date of their wedding.
Tom Mann rose to fame for his participation in The X Factor, which eventually led him to join boy band Stereo Kicks, a finalist for the reality show in 2014.
In an Instagram post, he posted a photo of the bride with the couple’s 8monthold son, Bowie. In the caption, he shared the death, revealing that she had passed away on their wedding anniversary.
“I can’t believe I’m writing these words but my dear Dani my best friend, my everything and more, the love of my life, passed away in the early hours of June 18th. What should have been the happiest day of our lives ended in irreversible heartbreak. I feel like I’ve cried an ocean. We never made it to the altar, or we had to take our vows, or dance our first dance, but I know you know you were my whole world and the best thing that ever happened.”
The musician also said he will continue to wear the couple’s engagement ring as a token of the love they had for each other.
“I will wear this ring that I am meant to wear as a token of my unconditional love for you. I’m completely devastated trying to process this and honestly I don’t know where to go from here but I know I have to put all the strength I can into helping our little boy. “
“I won’t compare myself to the mother you were, but I promise I’ll do my best to raise Bowie the way we always wanted to. I promise you will know how great your mother was. I promise to make you very proud. The most beautiful person inside and out. The most incredible soul. We have lost such a special person and I am sure we will soon experience an abundance of love that reflects that. I’ll try to find peace in your messages and comments, but now I’m mourning and will be for a long, long time.”
Danielle Hampson was a professional dancer and appeared with music greats such as Harry Styles in the 2021 music video Treat People With Kindness; and the Spice Girls on the Spice World 2019 Tour.
