British singer Tom Parker, best known as one of the members of “boy band” The Wanted, died on Wednesday after a battle with a brain tumor which was found in October 2020.
The artist’s death was made known by testimonies from his wife, Kelsey Parker, who claimed that he “departed in peace” with his entire family.
“Our hearts are broken, Tom was the center of our world and we cannot imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence,” Parker wrote on Instagram.
“We are truly grateful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all join forces to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children.”
The actress also thanked everyone who supported The Wanted member in his care.
“He fought to the end. I’m always proud of you,” she said.
According to the portal E! News, Parker shared the news of her October 2020 diagnosis after she had seizures, calling it a “worst-case scenario.”
However, in November last year, the singer published on his networks that according to the results of a study conducted, his condition had stabilized.
“A mix of emotions. We couldn’t ask for more at this point; a year or so into this trip. To be honest, we’re thrilled. We can sleep a little easier tonight. Thank you for all your love and support over the past 12 months,” the interpreter said while posting a photo with his partner and their children, Aurelia and Bo.
Parker is best known for being one of five members of The Wanted, a group that became popular in the early 2010s with songs like “Glad You Came” and “Chasing the Sun.”
