Singers from Italy and Ecuador receive lessons from a Russian teacher

Moscow, Sep 6 (Prensa Latina) Revered Russian artist Ildar Abdrazákov will hold master classes for young singers from Italy, Ecuador and this country during the fifth edition of the International Music Festival, local press reported today.

The Fund for the Support and Promotion of Young Talents and the Development of International Cultural Relations of the Russian Teacher announced that on September 9, 14 and 17 Abdrazákov will give lectures in the cities of Vladivostok, Khanty-Mansisk and Krasnoyarsk.

For the course, 34 singers were selected from the videos submitted in two stages with their performances. “There were so many interesting requests this year that I had to make two rounds of selections,” said the festival’s artistic director.

He explained that it was difficult for applicants from the most remote regions of the country to fly to Moscow, where these educational programs are most often held, so they decided to move the festival and hold master classes in these cities.

The event opened in 2018 with concerts in the cities of Moscow, Ufa, Kazan, Almetievsk, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Tyumen and Astrakhan.

Abdrazákov is an opera singer described by critics as a “sensational bass”, with imposing tone, beautiful legato and exceptional delicacy.

His work is well known on major stages in Russia, Italy, Japan and the United States, with recitals alongside the Chicago Symphony, Vienna Philharmonic, Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, Bavarian Radio, Rotterdam Philharmonic, National Orchestra of France, Scala Philharmonic Orchestra in Milan and the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome.
