TLC’s “Sister Wives” star Gwendlyn Brown shared her true feelings about her father Kody Brown’s fourth wife, Robyn Brown, in a YouTube video posted Wednesday, in which she starred in a recent episode of the hit reality show looked at her family again.
In a question-and-answer section of the video, Gwendlyn responded to a fan who asked her if her feelings toward Robyn or her father had changed after watching the show.
“I feel less about Robyn looking at this, but I don’t think that’s very fair of me because I don’t really like her as a person,” Gwendlyn said. “Well, it’s probably not a totally valid answer. But watching them makes me like them less for sure.”
Gwendlyn, 21, is Kody’s fourth child with ex Christine Brown, who was once Kody’s third wife. Her parents were “spiritually” married for over 25 years before publicly announcing their separation in November 2021.
Kody’s second wife, Janelle Brown, confirmed that she and Kody “broke up” on Season 17 of Sister Wives: One on One, which aired in December 2022. His first wife, Meri Brown, revealed that Kody “made the decision” to end their spiritual marriage in the reveal special, meaning Robyn is the only woman Kody is currently both married to, as far as public knowledge is concerned is romantically linked.
When asked by a fan if she thought her dad “could see his mistakes and build better relationships with his kids,” Gwendlyn offered a diplomatic response.
“As humans, I think we’re all typically ignorant of our mistakes and when we’ve hurt our loved ones — especially our loved ones,” she said. “And it’s pretty unlikely that we’ll admit when we’ve done something wrong.”
She added that while she’s had to be the one Kody has had to reach out to lately, he’s been “working on” and “getting better” at his communication with his kids.
Gwendlyn alluded to Robyn getting “princess treatment” from her father in the past, although she said COVID and Kody’s breakup with Christine likely made Robyn’s life harder. “I’m sure she’ll always get more and more kind attention from him,” she added.
The 21-year-old recently announced her engagement to her partner Beatriz Queiroz. She said in her video that Robyn doesn’t reach out to some of Kody’s children with other women, but that Robyn was “kind and sweet” to her partner at a recent family event.
