  • Kody Brown calls ex-Christine Brown “Machiavellian” in “Sister Wives”.
  • He also admits to having “anxiety attacks” while driving past their old home in Arizona.
  • In their first meeting since Christine’s move to Utah, the exes discuss Christmas plans.

Kody Brown’s first encounter with ex-wife Christine Brown since moving to Utah from Arizona continues on Sunday’s episode of TLC’s Sister Wives. Kody doesn’t hold back when he reflects on his feelings towards Christine in his confessional interview.

“I think she’s Machiavellian,” Kody tells the camera, recalling the conversation, which ranged from discussing their vacation plans to his lingering resentment against her for leaving him. “She plays nice while stabbing you in the back.”

During the tense lunch, Kody also confesses to Christine, “I’m driving past your house and I’m having ones that are literally anxiety attacks.” He’s referring to the house they shared before they moved.

In the previous episode, which ends in the midst of a tense moment during dinner, Kody tells the cameras that he’d rather continue “hating” Christine than share the room with her and try to be friendly.

The ex-partners publicly announced their separation in November 2021 after more than 25 years of “spiritual” marriage. Subsequent seasons of Sister Wives reported the chaotic aftermath, which included the couple coordinating Kody’s Christmas visit with their now 13-year-old daughter Truely.

Christine is in a much better mood during the encounter. She sparks Kody’s reaction by laughing at her 21-year-old daughter Gwendlyn Queiroz’s imitation of Kody while he was ill with COVID-19 (as documented in Season 17 of “Sister Wives”).

“I really think about him less than he thinks I think about him,” she tells the confessional cameras in the latest episode. “I don’t even think about him that much.”

She tries to get him to admit his anger towards her so they can move on and care for their children together. Christine tells the cameras that Kody’s “actions over the course of 10 years” have “failed” his goal of successfully living polygamy.

“You can’t just pick favourites. You can’t just stay at home with one person and expect to still have the big picture of a big, huge, happy, big family,” she says in an interview, presumably referring to the fact As in previous seasons of ” Sister Wives, Kody only stayed at his fourth wife, Robyn Brown’s, house during the peak of the pandemic.

In the scene, Kody accused Christine of speaking badly of him to their children behind his back.

“If he sits there and tells me to my face that I’m playing his children against him … No, no, that’s not true,” says Christine, pointing her finger at the camera in her confessional interview. She added that she only serves as a go-to person for her children when they need help.

In addition to Queiroz and Truely, Kody and Christine have four other biological children together: Aspyn Thompson, 28; Mykelti Padron, 27; Padon Brown, 25; and Ysabel Brown, 20.

“Listen, I have to get to a point where I don’t hate you so I don’t badmouth you to my kids,” Kody says to Christine’s face over the meal.

As of January 2023, Kody and Robyn have unexpectedly been living monogamously after Kody’s two other wives, Janelle Brown and Meri Brown, also left him.

Sister Wives airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on TLC.
