“Six martyrs killed by the occupation (name given to Israel by Palestinian officials, editor's note) and seriously injured were transported to the Thabet Thabet government hospital in Tulkarem,” the ministry said in a brief statement.
According to the official Palestinian agency Wafa, these six people were killed by Israeli airstrikes on the Nour Shams camp near the city of Tulkarem, where Israeli soldiers were also stationed.
When asked by the AFP news agency, the Israeli army did not initially comment on this information.
More than 300 Palestinians have been killed in the occupied West Bank by soldiers and, in some cases, Israeli settlers since the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip began on October 7, according to a Palestinian Authority tally.
