A Russian delegation went to Iran at least twice to buy drones, the first in June and the second in July. CNN explains this by showing exclusive satellite imagery and quoting the words of States National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. In particular, Iran showed Russian envoys Shahed-191 and Shahed-129 drones, also known as UAVs or unmanned aerial vehicles, at Kashan Airport south of Tehran in June. American officials report this to CNN, explaining that the two types of drones are capable of carrying precision-guided missiles. “We have information that indicates the Iranian government is preparing to supply Russia with several hundred unmanned aerial vehicles,” Sullivan told CNN. “We believe that an official Russian delegation recently evaluated a number of Iranian attack-capable UAVs,” Sullivan added. Today Ukraine’s Defense Ministry said it had destroyed six kamikaze drones in action.
