The collision happened at the top of a bump in the road.
The scene of the accident is more than 50 miles off Route 172.
Five ambulances were dispatched to the scene, including one from Hydro-Québec. People were reportedly injured to varying degrees, but none of their lives were in danger. The injured were transported to a hospital.
The injured are workers at a company working on a contract for Hydro-Québec.
The workers involved in the accident are employees of a Hydro-Québec supplier on the Micoua-Saguenay project. We have no information on the cause of the accident, stated by email Caroline Des Rosiers, Strategic Advisor in Corporate Communications for Hydro-Quebec.

An investigation by the Commission on Standards, Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety at Work (CNESST) is underway.
David Blouin, CNESST regional spokesman, confirms that a team on the ground intervened. So it is an accident at work. Inspectors are working to secure the area and gather the information needed for their investigation.
The health and safety of our employees and contractors is a priority for Hydro-Québec. We are very concerned about what happened this morning. One accident is always one too many, added Caroline Des Rosiers.
