Sixty thousand in Mestre for the penguins parking spaces sold

Sixty thousand in Mestre for the penguins: parking spaces sold out, the roads to San Giuliano closed VeneziaToday

The first cars arrived in the city at 6 a.m. Then, throughout the day, young people, adults and families flocked to Mestre to see the Nuclear Tactical Penguins show at San Giuliano Park. Announced last November, the concert marks the return of major events to Mestre Park. Tickets sold out immediately and by the evening of July 7th, when the sale was completely sold out, 60,000 people attended the band’s performance. It’s the zero date of the Penguins’ stadium tour, which, after taking part in Sanremo 2020, where they finished third with the song “Ringo Starr”, experienced a real explosion and became an Italian pop phenomenon.

The parking spaces made available in the city by reservation are all fully booked. The City of Venice, in cooperation with Vela and Avm, has designated eight special spectator parking spaces with a total of around 7,000 parking spaces. In addition, free (non-reservable) Park and Ride parking spaces were available in the suburbs of Mestre and Marghera, connected by shuttle buses, as well as in paid parking garages, Costa and Candiani. Further connections with Venice were activated on the waterway between San Giuliano and Fondamente Nove. From midday, local police patrols gradually closed traffic through Forte Marghera and Viale San Marco, on the sections between San Giuliano and the intersections with Viale Sansovino, and then through Vespucci. Meanwhile, groups of children were already approaching the concert site on foot from the morning.

So the organization is in full swing for an unforgettable show. For the past few days, the Penguins have helped extend the wait by posting videos of park inspections and updates via social media. The appointment in Mestre is a particularly important date because it marks the beginning of a tour with impressive numbers: in the summer months, until September 9th, the band will play another ten dates in stadiums from Milan to Rome to Bari Half of which is already sold out. The next stop is in San Siro on July 11-12, where the date was doubled after tickets for the premiere sold out in 24 hours.
