In Cândido Mota (SP), Santa Claus and his helpers go through the streets in a completely different way to distribute gifts to children in need. A transporter was converted into Bom Velhinho's sleigh.
There has been a solidarity campaign calling for Christmas in the city for 10 years. This Saturday (23rd), Santa Claus, Santa Claus and the elves visited different areas of the city and the children even enjoyed improvised snow.

Christmas celebrations in Bethlehem in the West Bank have been canceled due to the war between Israel and Hamas that has killed more than 20,000 people.
Instead of the celebrations, Palestinian Christians held a vigil where they sang and prayed for peace in the Gaza Strip with lit candles.
Bethlehem is considered the place where, according to Christianity, Jesus was born in a manger in the stable of a hotel because there were no more rooms for guests.
