Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) called for a change in migration policy and spoke out in favor of a maximum integration limit. There is a risk that the country will be “completely overwhelmed”, Söder said today after a meeting of the CSU party’s executive board.
Many municipalities have been complaining for months that integration has not been achieved. If there is no solution, there is a risk that democracy will be destabilized. If we compare the situation with other European countries, it is not just a European issue, but above all an issue for Germany.
Söder for greater repatriation of criminals
Although the number of asylum seekers is decreasing in Austria, it is increasing in Germany. In this context, Söder called for a normalization of social standards in Europe. At the same time, Söder spoke out in favor of suspending special reception programs and increasing the return of criminals.
The federal government needs to go to the Maghreb (this mainly means the North African territories of Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco, please note) to talk to countries like Tunisia and alleviate the situation in the Mediterranean. Furthermore, other countries would have to be declared safe countries of origin.
Top CDU politicians have also recently called for a U-turn in migration policy. Söder recently warned of a destabilization of the political system, taking into account the growing number of refugees and the high poll numbers for right-wing populists. A new state parliament will be elected in Bavaria on October 8.
