Sofia Richie Grainge recalled the moment she and Elliot Grainge realized the public was talking about their marriage.
In an interview with Who What Wear about her recent marriage, the 24-year-old star opened up about the moment she realized people were happy for her.
She said the couple didn’t realize their marriage had caught the general public’s attention until a few days after their wedding, when they were on their honeymoon.
“My husband looks at me and says, ‘I think people are all into it,’ and I said, ‘What are you talking about?'” the social media star shared.
Sofia Richie Grainge and the music director honeymooned on an idyllic desert island in the Maldives, where they had no network to see what was being said about them.
“I left my house and a lot of people came up to me. “I was arrested from all sides,” she said of her return to the United States. It was so cute, but it was also like, “Oh my god, I forgot people were watching and seeing and loving my wedding.” I was like, “Oh my god, did you see it?” It was a very surreal moment and kind of wow for me and I was really flattered. The love I also felt from people online filled my heart and made me really happy.”
The young lovebirds tied the knot in April at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, France.
The model, who wore a bespoke Chanel wedding dress, was accompanied by her father Lionel Richie.
