Sofía Vergara obtains a protective order against her stalker

There’s positive news in the lawsuit Sofía Vergara is facing for failing to pay for renovations to her luxurious Beverly Hills home: the obtaining of a protective order for her and her son against a persistent harasser named Gregory Brown.

This person had previously been released from prison for similar offenses and was on probation.

According to official documents cited by TMZ, the actress describes Brown as a “mentally unstable stalker” who claims to know her personally, as well as her 32-year-old son Manolo, and insinuates a relationship with her and her family.

The celebrity explained that Brown’s “aggressive” behavior raised fears for her safety and left her feeling anxious.

Gregory Brown, who was jailed earlier this year for breaking into and vandalizing Vergara’s property, has made several attempts to contact the star’s family. He reportedly sent a letter to the actress last month with the disturbing message: “I will see and hear you very soon, my love.” In addition, the man has a criminal record and has committed violent crimes, among other things.

In response to this situation, a judge issued a temporary restraining order requiring Brown to stay at least 100 meters away from Vergara and her son and banning him from any contact with them.

It is not the first time that the famous woman has faced a problem of this kind. In 2020, she was harassed by a man named Rengifo Randazzo, who was even obsessed with her then-husband Joe Manganiello.

Randazzo, who has a history of domestic violence and had previously taken out restraining orders, attempted to enter the “Modern Family” star’s home but was intercepted.
