Andrea Cordero, co-founder of the Luisa González women’s organization, affirmed that the Cuban revolutionary process was a source of inspiration under the banner of courage, perseverance, strength and the vision of unity.
Fidel Castro (historical leader of the Cuban Revolution) has remained engraved in so many minds and hearts as a leader and visionary as he embarked on Cuba’s path towards freedom and progress for his people.
The President of the Popular Vanguard Party (PVP, Communist), Trino Barrantes, said that since the arrival of Antonio Maceo (Lieutenant General of the Liberation Army Against Spain) and José Martí (National Hero Cuban), Cuba and Costa Rica have maintained close ties with Costa Rica, as well as in this long revolutionary friendship.
From the PVP we salute with heart and left hand raised and say: Long live the Cuban Revolution! Long live international solidarity! For the permanent resistance against the criminal economic, trade and financial blockade of the USA against the Caribbean island, which has been going on for more than six decades. Long live revolutionary Cuba!
Milagros Solís, on behalf of the Círculo Bolivariano Yamilet López, highlighted that revolutionary Cuba is celebrating the 64th anniversary of the triumph of the anti-colonial struggle for freedom and independence by developing a social project led by the leadership of the humble and common people Realization of the sovereign rights of the Cuban people.
We salute this new anniversary of the revolutionary triumph in Cuba on January 1, 1959, for its internationalist and militant role, for its loyalty to the supreme principles of the anti-imperialist struggle, for peoples’ rights and for socialism, Solís stressed.
Undeca board member Deivis Ovares described as impressive how a people firmly defended the revolutionary process despite all obstacles, deceit and unfair measures.
For his part, the Cuban Ambassador to Costa Rica, Jorge Rodríguez, thanked his Costa Rican friends for their support for his country and reiterated that neither the blockade, nor the invasions, nor the bacteriological wars, nor the intensification of the economic siege, had been able to do it will be able to bend the iron will of the Cuban people for their revolution.
Neither the majority commitment to building a more egalitarian, supportive, inclusive and social society for all, Rodríguez directed.
