Las Vegas, Nevada – At the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2024, the Sony Honda Mobility group, consisting of the electronics giant and the well-known Japanese manufacturer, presented an updated version of the Afeela concept that it plans to launch by the end of the decade.
Aesthetically the model is exactly the same. Evolution and development take place under its guise. So much so that we remain optimistic that we will be able to deliver the first examples in 2026.

The purely electric car will not drive autonomously. It will benefit from the driving aids Honda already offers, but the company hasn't yet worked on developing new technologies that could see the model reach another level up the autonomy scale. Rather, we focus on developing a driver-centered vehicle.
Honda has previously said that self-driving cars will one day be the norm, but for now it's the status quo.
What is new about this product are the experiences that it will enable residents to experience, in particular thanks to a partnership with Epic Games. So we can expect a high level of entertainment and multimedia interface, including the presence of games.
Do you have to remember that Sony is the PlayStation platform? Interestingly, at Monday's presentation, the car was controlled (at least visually) on the platform with a PlayStation controller.
Will the Afeela with Sony and Honda's signature actually see the light of day? When Sony first introduced the 2020 model at the same CES, it seemed impossible.
Last year, at CES, we announced the partnership with Honda and the name of the created brand Afeela.
