The PS5’s Accessibility Controller set is highly customizable, featuring multiple differently shaped buttons and joystick caps that can be manipulated in any 360-degree orientation.
The device can also be connected to third-party accessibility accessories via four 3.5mm expansion ports.
On the PS5 gaming console, players have access to more configuration settings, including assigning buttons and disabling others to prevent accidental presses.
Sony says it’s even possible to combine up to two Access controllers and a DualSense wireless controller to use them synergistically.
This accessible gamepad is long overdue for the disabled community, whose ability to launch portions of their favorite games is limited. Since 2018, people with disabilities have been able to access Microsoft’s Adaptive Set for the Xbox console.
