Fitness influencer Sophie Guidolin has announced her silence over her split from husband Dr. Andrew Firgaira broken just days after he announced their split.
dr Firgaira, a high-profile Gold Coast dentist, confirmed the couple’s split on Wednesday after weeks of rumors that they had quietly ended their marriage just four months after their dream nuptials.
But in a series of Instagram comments on Friday, Guidolin claimed that — contrary to rumors doing the rounds online — she was the one who “left” her husband, not the other way around.
She opened up about her failed marriage on her 33rd birthday after posting a photo gallery with her teenage son Kai, who she recently reunited with after living with her parents in Adelaide for several months while they were going through a difficult time our life’.
Guidolin said that returning with Kai, who was reportedly not attending her marriage to Dr. Firgaira was “the silver lining” after a nightmare year in which her relationship with her husband fell apart after the birth of a stillborn child.

In a series of Instagram comments on Friday, Guidolin claimed that – contrary to rumors doing the rounds online – she was the one who “left” her husband, not the other way around
“The silver lining,” she wrote in the caption, referring to her eldest son.
“A million gratitude to have you in my arms again. I will do everything in my power to never let anyone or anything come between our ties.
“Thirty-three… Nothing in the world could have prepared me for that year. To the repeat of 33 #family #love #Kai.”
One of her followers asked in the comments section, “Where’s your husband?” to which Guidolin replied, ‘I left him.’
Another fan said: “To a better year. Happy birthday,” and the self-proclaimed nutritionist replied, “[It] can’t be worse than the last one.’

Guidolin responded with a teary-faced emoji and wrote, “Yep.”

“To clear up the constant speculation I’m going to answer this for once by saying we’re not together anymore,” he wrote in a comment on his own post. “I have my reasons for this and am unwilling to discuss this matter further”

It comes after Dr. Firgaira confirmed on Wednesday that the couple had ended their relationship in an emotionally raw Instagram post.
The dentist said he was “unwilling” to discuss the reasons for the split, which came after Guidolin gave birth to a stillborn baby while on holiday in Europe with his daughters from a previous relationship.
“To clear up the constant speculation I’m going to answer this for once by saying we’re not together anymore,” he wrote in a comment on his own post.
“I have my reasons for this and am not prepared to discuss this matter any further.”
He stressed that he “would like people to refrain” from commenting on the relationship, as “nothing positive can come of further discussion.”
His comments come after Guidolin weeks earlier Dr. Quietly unfollowed Firgaira on Instagram and deleted all evidence of him from her own feed.
Photos of Guidolin and Dr. Firgaira at their wedding have been deleted, as has their engagement post and a photo announcing Guidolin’s pregnancy over Christmas last year.
The couple married in November and announced a month later that they were expecting their first child together (pictured).
Rumors of the couple’s marriage have been circulating for months after fans noticed the model had stopped showing photos of Dr. Post Firgaira on social media.
Last month, Guidolin added more fuel to the fire by uploading a cryptic Instagram post that hinted at heartbreak.
She said she’s going through a “difficult phase” and stressed the importance of “human connection,” despite her desire to “recharge her batteries on her own.”
She then alluded to her need for “closure” after a difficult time, writing, “Forgiveness is key but some things are unforgivable and closure is choice.”
Guidolin announced her engagement to Dr. Firgaira announced in June 2022, just over two years after splitting from Married At First Sight star Jake Edwards in May 2020.
The couple married in November before announcing a month later that they were expecting their first child together.
Guidolin, who has four children from a previous relationship, faced serious health issues during her fifth pregnancy.
In January, she told fans she had been diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness.
While recovering from her condition in hospital, Guidolin shared a post complaining about how lonely she feels without Dr. Firgaira at her side.
When asked by fans where her husband was, she claimed he was on a European holiday abroad with his two daughters.

“I’m trying to trust God’s timing and I’ve always believed that the universe has my back and no matter how confusing it all feels, I’m trying to make sense of that grief with my faith.
“I feel so guilty for my thoughts and would do anything to feel that pain because of this harrowing experience. I don’t even have the words how to write or how to understand it. Perhaps some souls were always destined to be angels.’
