After the singer spoke about the romance on Instagram, an insider close to the star revealed details about the two's relationship this Friday (8). The source confirmed to ET that the stars are dating and also opened up about how their relationship started.
“Selena and Benny have been seeing each other on and off for a while now and recently things have become more official,” he began. “Things are great between them and Selena is happy. She thinks Benny is very funny and of course extremely talented,” the source said.
The insider also spoke about how the owner of the hit “The Heart Wants What It Wants” is feeling at the moment and with the new love in her life. “Selena is at a great point in her life and feels content and relaxed. She likes the way things are going,” he said.
The romance
Selena called off her relationship with Blanco this Thursday (7) after months of speculation about the artists' involvement. The voice of “Calm Down” decided to like and comment on a post from the @popfactions profile on Instagram that said: “Selena Gomez is reportedly dating producer Benny Blanco.” In addition to likes, the singer also commented in the comments, with a clear and direct statement about the rumor: “Fact.”

On social media, fans began reacting to the comment, not knowing if Selena was serious about the affair. Gomez went even further and replied on a Brazilian fan page, putting an end to all doubts: “He is my everything in my heart (…) He has treated me better than any other person on this planet.”
