Funny attack in South Africa. Authorities across the country on Wednesday urged holidaymakers to stay away from sea creatures after a seal pup attacked sunbathers on a popular Cape Town beach (Clifton 4th Beach), not far from the popular Camps Bay area. The National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) said lifeguards in Clifton Beach on Tuesday treated two people who had been bitten by a “baby seal”. “We call on all swimmers and paddlers to stay away from seals and avoid marine life,” the organization added in a statement.

A video shared on social media shows a seal pup chasing a child in the shallows. The animal tried to bite the child on the leg before two men came to his rescue, causing the animal to escape at the same time.
According to the NSRI, similar incidents have occurred on beaches in the area in recent months. South African beaches are very popular at this time, which corresponds to summer in the southern hemisphere.
