A 2005 episode of South Park, which satirizes a transgender woman who demands an abortion despite being unable to conceive, has gone viral 18 years after it first aired as transgender issues continue to permeate the politically correct climate of dominate today.

The episode is titled Mr. Garrison’s Fancy New Vagina. It satirizes a transgender woman – Garrison – who demands an abortion on the assumption she is pregnant because she is not menstruating.

Garrison is outraged that she can’t carry or have an abortion despite paying $5,000 for gender reassignment surgery.

The episode also makes a brutal comment on abortions, saying they “screw up babies’ brains”.

It went viral this week in the context of today’s ongoing, angry debate over transgender issues, and as the show – a staple of the ’90s and early noughties – sparked renewed interest in mocking Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

The episode, titled Mr. Garrison’s Fancy New Vagina, pokes fun at an outraged trans woman who demands an abortion, believing she is pregnant despite having no ovaries or a uterus

Republican commentators including Donald Trump Jr., who said the comedy series nailed it.

The skit is set in Planned Parenthood. Garrison, a natural male who has undergone a sex reassignment surgery, is called to the doctor’s office.

“Hello Doctor, looks like I need an abortion,” she says.

‘An abortion?’ replies the doctor.

“Yes, I have one growing inside me. Are you going to mess up his brain now or just suck it dry?’ Garrison asks in a not-so-subtle reprimand of abortion by the South Park writers.

The doctor sighs and says, “Mr. Garrison,” to which she replies, “Mrs Garrison!”

The doctor perseveres.

‘Woman. Garrison, you cannot have an abortion.”

“Don’t tell me what I can and can’t do with my body! A woman has the right to choose!’ she says and jumps out of the doctor’s chair and the stirrups.

Republicans hailed the clip on Twitter, saying it “destroys trans and abortion” in one fell swoop

“No, I mean, you are physically incapable of having an abortion because you cannot conceive,” the doctor explains.

“But I missed my period,” Garrison says, confused.

“You can’t have a period either. You’ve had a sex change operation, Mr. Garrison, but you don’t have ovaries or a uterus. You don’t produce eggs.”

A suppressed Garrison replies, “You mean I’ll never know what it feels like to have a baby growing inside me and messing with its brain and sucking it dry?”

The doctor confirms: “That’s right.”

“But I paid $5,000 to be a woman. That would mean I’m not really a woman. I’m just a guy with a mutilated penis,” says Garrison.

The doctor agrees, “Basically yes,” to which Garrison replies, “Oh boy, I feel like an asshole.”

Republicans hailed the clip on Twitter, saying it “destroys trans and abortion” in one fell swoop.

Others pointed to another episode from 2014, in which Cartman puts a pink ribbon on his head and calls himself transgender to use the girls’ school restrooms.
