Hot and humid weather will continue into Sunday when a new low pressure system brings rain, with temperatures still rising in southern Quebec.
The heat warning issued by Environment Canada remains in effect for Montreal, the Laurentians, Lanaudière and Montérégie, where humidity levels are kept between 34 and 39.
Meanwhile, Friday promises sunshine for the same sectors with temperatures of 30 degrees, while in the west of the province the weather alternates between sun and clouds and shows 25 degrees on the thermometer.
The same scenario is expected in the center and east of the province when the federal agency forecasts weather to be generally sunny with patchy clouds, particularly in Quebec City, Estri and Beauce, and the north coast.
Saturday is shaping up much like Friday, with good weather and summer temperatures expected for most of Quebec and waiting for downpours to sweep the south of the province on Sunday.
