SpaceX will be able to launch its Starship rocket again after several adjustments

SpaceX can resume testing the world’s largest rocket after meeting safety and environmental requirements. The private space company received a list of 63 points from the US regulator FAA that must be met for Starship to take off again. During the final test, the rocket exploded, but according to SpaceX, we were able to learn many things from the test.

Elon Musk’s company hopes to create a reusable rocket that could, among other things, fly to Mars. A test took place for the first time in April and the entire rocket, consisting of the Starship capsule and the Super Heavy launch vehicle, was launched. The test of the 120 meter high aircraft ended after less than four minutes with an explosion and the destruction of the launch pad.

The explosion had “multiple causes,” the FAA said on Friday. In particular, measures must be taken to prevent fuel leaks and fires from occurring, as occurred during the test flight.

SpaceX said on its website on Friday that numerous modifications had already been made to the rocket. Since the April test, lessons have been learned and various improvements have been implemented to both the rocket and the launch site. The company says it has always worked with a process of testing, customization and new releases.
