She announced her surrogacy at the age of 68 in an exclusive interview with the weekly Hola! made known. Seven days later, the Spanish actress and presenter Ana Obregon reappears in the pages of the same magazine to tell a different truth. “The little girl born on March 20th is mine biological grandchild» because she was conceived from the frozen seed of her son Alex Lequio, who died of cancer in 2020 at the age of 27. “I made the decision to begin the surrogacy process on the very day my son went to heaven. It was Aless’ last wish,” he told the weekly. “What people don’t know – the actress continues – is that this was Aless’ last wish: to have a child. And he told his father and I that a week before he died,” Obregón says, adding that this practice is called “holographic wills” and occurs when a person makes their last will in front of two witnesses, even if the notary public for whatever reason, cannot be present at that time. “But this document exists and is legal,” he asserts. It all started “when – says the 68-year-old – he was diagnosed with cancer, which the doctors had recommended Aless keep him seed samples to ensure you can have children.
