The Spice Girls will reunite at Geri Horner’s 50th birthday party on Saturday night.

Ginger Spice and her husband, Formula 1 team boss Christian Horner, 48, are hosting the party at their home in Oxfordshire.

All five band members are expected, including Victoria Beckham, after Geri postponed the Thu in September following the Queen’s death.

The singer is a passionate royalist whose tribute to Her Majesty was broadcast as part of the Party At The Palace during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June.

Geri, who turned 50 in August, began her brief speech at the time: “Our Queen, kind, loving, strong, who serves our country, the Commonwealth, and unites us all.

As it turns out, Geri will star alongside Djimon Hounsou in the film adaptation of Gran Turismo, while the new-name singer is trying to restart her acting career after a memorable cameo in 2004’s Sex And The City.

She will land her first starring role alongside Oscar nominee Hounsou, 58, with the pair playing the parents of a teenage Gran Turismo gamer whose gaming skills have earned him a series of Nissan competitions to become a professional racing driver are reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

This is Halliwell-Horner’s most notable acting role to date, following her much-ridiculed cameo as socialite Phoebe in SATC’s sixth season.

In her only scene, she approached Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) and boasted that she would just “take a bath in Soho House!” – before he raves about being “heavy on Evian”.

Gran Turismo will also feature David Harbor as the retired driver who looks after the teenager, played by Archie Madekwe, while Daniel Puig portrays his brother.

Neill Blomkamp is directing the film, which hits theaters on August 11, 2023 and is already shooting in Hungary.
