“Meeting someone would just be a bonus.”
In February she was also spotted enjoying a series of low-key dates with London gallerist Cassius Colman.
It is believed the couple first met when Cassius, co-owner of trendy east London gallery Nelly Duff’s, was working on Mel’s 1998 video When You’re Gone With Bryan Adams.
A source told the publication: “Mel and Cassius enjoy each other’s company and get along really well.”

“She doesn’t rush anything and they enjoyed a few dates in London. “It’s all going well and she seems really happy.”
Mel, who performed at Camp Bestival in Shropshire on Sunday, started dating Joe in 2015 – the pair even lived together in north London.
After the split, it was said that the star was “not afraid of being single” as a busy schedule got in the way of their romance.
Example: The Spice Girl, 49, previously had a seven-year relationship with Joe, but the former couple announced last summer that they had broken up
According to The Sun, a source explained that her free time is limited and Mel hopes to spend what time she has with daughter Scarlet, who she shares with her former property developer Thomas Starr.
The source detailed, “Mel has an incredibly busy career between her book deal, DJing and other plans.”
“She dedicates what little free time she has to her daughter Scarlett, and that doesn’t leave much time for a relationship.”
They said the split was amicable, but added: “Mel isn’t afraid to be single if she thinks it’s best.”
Mel and Joe are known for keeping their relationship secret despite living together – with the singer acting as stepmother to his two daughters.
The singer started dating the music manager in December 2015, and after their romance went from strength to strength, she also made him her manager.
The brunette said of Joe in a 2016 interview with Closer: “He challenges me, respects me and loves me.” “I don’t think I’ve ever been in a relationship where someone has my back.”
Mel previously referenced her split from her ex-boyfriend Thomas in 2012 and admitted it was her daughter who initiated it.
Speaking on Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, the would-be hitmaker said: “I make big decisions.” “It was hard leaving her dad but I wasn’t happy and she wasn’t happy and it wasn’t them Environment I wanted my child to grow up in.”
