During the investigation, Oh – real name Oh Se-kang – denied any charges against him and explained his version of events in a statement released by Korean broadcaster JTBC. “I just held her hand to show her the way around the lake. I apologized because (the woman) said she wasn’t making a fuss, but that doesn’t mean she’s admitting the allegations.”

Born in 1944 in Kaesong, now North Korea, the actor moved to the south of the country with his family and began acting in 1967, spending most of his career in the theater but not neglecting cinema and television. So far, there has been no official comment from Netflix, although Variety reports that the Korean Culture Ministry has withdrawn an Oh Yeong-su commercial dedicated to the law innovation after the case was reopened.
