RRR (Hindi) by SS Rajamouli continued its dream run on day two as the film jumped about 30-35 percent on Saturday. The first estimates point to a second date number near Rs. 24 to 26 croreswhich could also be slightly higher depending on how well the mass belts have fared.
The film has brought audiences across the country on board – be they national chains or individual screens, be they cities or small towns. Business will continue to rise from here on Sunday and there is a strong possibility that this Jr. NTR and Ram Charan film will have an opening weekend of Rs. 75 crore. The numbers are just fantastic for a film with two relatively fresh faces, and all of that over a non-holiday weekend at that.
The SS Rajamouli factor, backed up with visually appealing trailers, created excitement among audiences, and with positive conversation, business picks up with every show that goes by. Costs are on the higher side, but RRR has enough capacity and box office power to become a profitable venture for stakeholders in Hindi belts. A deal of Rs. 180 crore plus means a successful benchmark for the Hindi belt traders.
Audience feedback has been consistently positive and as such we expect the film to remain stable even on weekdays to host a healthy week overall. That’s not all, it’s an open market for RRR until the release of KGF 2, which means we’ll continue to have those weekend spikes throughout the next two weeks. All in all the scenario is looking positive for RRR (Hindi) at the moment and with a two day total of Rs. 44 crore plus it appears that SS Rajamouli and his team have delivered another winner.
