Stabbed in the hand for a remote control story

A man from Pittsburgh, USA, told police that a woman stabbed him in the hand just because he repeatedly asked her about the TV remote control.

According to reports from ABC affiliate WTAE, the incident occurred shortly after midnight at a residence in Pittsburgh’s Bedfords Dwellings neighborhood.

The victim, who wanted to watch football, was accompanied by Michelle Robinson, a 57-year-old woman who wanted to listen to music instead.

Determined to gain the upper hand in this argument, Ms. Robinson hid the TV remote control in her purse.

After asking for the controller twice without success, the man tried his luck a third time.

The 50-year-old then pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the hand, court documents say.

According to the same documents, the woman initially told police he had stabbed himself. She then tried to pose as a victim before finally revealing the truth and admitting to police that she had actually stabbed him.

She faces a charge of aggravated assault.
