Vladimir “Fresh” Yezhov, one of the developers of STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyland died Per defend Ukraine by the Russian invasion, which unfortunately has been going on for almost a year and has caused appalling suffering to both the civilian population and the military who fought that war.
The just 38-year-old electronics engineer, game designer at GSC Game World, Yezhov stayed killed near Bakhmut, in the midst of a long series of bloody clashes, which he himself had witnessed dramatically when he spoke of how a great friend of his had been shot by Russian troops.
The development team of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, as we know, is in an extremely complicated situation where part of the staff has committed to work in precarious conditions, to say the least, and part to the Ukrainian ones Army has moved in to protect the country from wanted aggression by Putin.
For these reasons, the launch of the game will probably not take place in a timely manner, although despite all these difficulties, GSC Game World has reaffirmed its intention to release the title in 2023.
