(ANSA) – LONDON, DECEMBER 05 – Labor opposition leader Keir Starmer has promised to abolish the House of Lords if he wins the next UK general election, which is scheduled for late 2024. “It’s an institution that is now indefensible,” Sir Keir said in an interview with Sky News on the sidelines of the presentation of the report by former Labor Prime Minister Gordon Brown’s Commission on the Future of the UK at the University of Leeds .
